Selkies

In Scottish mythology we find the selkies, (also called silkies, selchies or roanes) Whose myth is shared by Irish and Icelandic.

These beings inhabit the coasts of the Faroe Islands.

These sirens When out of the sea, Become seal, and When They get into the water again Become beautiful women. Legend has it the man who steals That a selkie skin is forced to marry her.
